F18 Inhibit the pilots voice..

Wondering is there a way to inhibit the pilots voice, for commands like 'chief remove the wheel chocks'  for example. 
I'm using Voice attack and the annunciation just copies what i say, and spoile the immersion. Note i don't want to block the response only the command.

Install VAICOM, a free plugin for VoiceAttack, there you have the option to do exactly that and many other nifty features. It doesn't use the radio menu at all, (you can even hide it), so you can call any ATC at any time and not worry about where in the radio menu list it is. As long as you have tuned your radios correctly that is.

Speech is controlled by these files: "DCS World\Scripts\Speech\common_events.lua" and "DCS World\Scripts\Speech\common.lua" Elements of speech for player and AI can be eliminated by commenting out ( -- ) the speech statements you want silenced. You will probably need to experiment a little. I have silenced wingman "Mudspike" calls, for one example.

If you do the voice training it should understand you anyways. You can run the Speech Recognition in French, while you probably need to add aliases for all the commands. One made a Spanish version of all of them.

By any chance, would you know where the AoA alert sound is located? I dogfight a lot and want to replace that shrieking tone for the Bluey intro song or something equally wholesome.

Pretty sure those files (most sound files) are encrypted and inaccessible to users these days.  Happened quite a while ago due to piracy issues.
