zildac Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Odd one, in VR (using a Varjo Aero) and when I bring up the list of "bombs" for a given pylon the list is pretty large and ends up off the bottom of the headset FOV. I don't recall this being an issue the last time I flew the F4, a couple of patches ago. Looks like an ED GUI issue, but wondered if anyone else has seen the same? 14900KS | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 6600 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero
Zabuzard Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Yeah its a known issue. A couple of updates ago we added a few more bombs and now the aircraft just has too many weapons :DThe GUI itself is indeed out of our control. 1

Have you raised it with ED so they can sort their GUI out? It's a little frustrating, can do a saved loadout with HOBOs for example and then edit, but it's less than ideal. 1 14900KS | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 6600 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero
zildac Posted December 6, 2024 Author Posted December 6, 2024 @BIGNEWY Are the team aware of the issue? 1 14900KS | Maximus Hero Z690 | ASUS 4090 TUF OC | 64GB DDR5 6600 | DCS on 2TB NVMe | WarBRD+Warthog Stick | CM3 | TM TPR's | Varjo Aero

=475FG= Dawger Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Wouldn’t suck to remove practice bombs. 2
Zabuzard Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Wouldn’t suck to remove practice bombs. Thats the POV of someone who is perhaps flying on a server or similar and wants to blow up stuff. If you ask someone from a squad who makes realistic trainings you would hear the opposite.Either case, a solution will eventually be found :) 3

And practice bombs actually make training less realistic ( although I know you mean “pretend to be a real fighter pilot’ when you say realistic)
Zabuzard Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 If you dont like the training bombs (or any other weapon on the affected pylons) and dont want to wait for the proper fix, the best I can offer you for today is to remove the weapons from the pylon definitions locally. Therefore, go to Dcs/CoreMods/aircraft/F4E/Entry/F4E.lua and remove the following lines (or whichever weapon you want to remove): 1 1

Zabuzard Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 @Zabuzard Will it break IC?Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using TapatalkI would have to guess but I suppose yes.Messing with this file allows you to change a lot of stuff, for example adding the Mig-21 nuke to the Phantom. Or giving the AI Phantom ultra acceleration. Or removing Damage Cells. 2

Gav Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Can confirm that I can't see or select anything past the first Walleye bombs in VR. Thanks for the work around.
