Since everything in DCS for me personally has been about the announced FF Mig-29A in the last few weeks, I thought it would be good to post more tutorials on this model here. I really hope that when the model is released, more high-quality tutorials will appear on YouTube.

In real MiG reacquiring the lock is possible and useful and recommended by real manual. But not in Su-27. MiG stores it's guiding signal at all times, Su generates a new one with each lock.

What we need is for them to give us the FF MIG29A manual for DCS. The release of the plane is in September (less than a month), so I don't see why we can't get the early-access manual a bit earlier.

No one guarantees that MiG will actually drop in September. It is still planned date and planned dates tend to be missed.

Wait till you guys figure it you need a switch that locks radar to MPRF to have both sensors work together. That you may not be able to transfer from one senior to another while maintaining lock without Fox 1. That your HUD symbology is only 50% of FC3. That your IRST has half the FOV it has in FC3.  That to get wind correction for CCIP you need to accurately point the laser at the target twice within 8 seconds. That sure to ground mode might be limited to 5 km. Having sensors work together in search limits to 25 km HUD scale as radar is only in MPRF. You will see no target altitude/speed, symbol over target, right side of HUD only on HDD, no radar/IRST mode shown unless you look at the HUD scale which cannot be changed. It’ll be a fun ride

Let us hope it is not like "29 in 26".

I have more confidence then usual in ED for this 

1. it’s actually a pretty simple jet. No MFD pages, limited HOTAS, no pods or crazy GPS weapons. 
 

2. Obviously MiG-29 is close to their heart with 1-2 Ex MiG-29 pilots on staff, and obviously alot of people that probably know about it and collecting info on it their whole lives. 
 

These two things I think will lead to it releasing in a good state

I am more sceptical if not all information needed is available. Missing features or made up for "what if" scenario that real mig pilots would use is far worse than minor bugs which can be solved in one weekly update or two.

We will see in the meantime after released.

You guys have modeled the KPP ADI several times in different qualities (MiG-21, L-39, FC and now MiG-29). I wonder why you don't just make it right once and then re-use it everywhere.

Issues with this one:
- the horizontal scale should be printed on fabric (not on carbon or whatever that is)
- the horizontal scale should be printed in bold letters
- the flight director needle should be longer
- the flight director needle should be curved (like a tube cut in half)
- the circles should be bigger and thinner

Do you realize that the mig-21, L-39 and Mig-29 were developed by separate companies and development teams? (Leatherneck, Belsimtek, and Eagle Dynamics)… how would you manage the issue of sharing their work? … To say nothing of the different development time-frames.
