teewhite7 Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 I've been having this issue for a while- Randomly when launching from carriers immediately after leaving the deck the plane pitches verticle, I've tried to recover from this myself but it always just ends in a stall, or certainly over stresses the aircraft. **note on missions like a hot start I just reset & that fixes the issue, saying this to make it obvious that it's not a control issue, it's something with the aircraft model, like a bug. Anyone ran into this? Also noticed lately that when in the Abeam position/right before making the turn in to intercept the left wing gets yammed down hard, only thing I've been able to do is just hold the stick at like 20 degrees or more to counter it, i haven't been able to trim it out. Also Ive tried this with and without flaps and with and without dls. Flaps seem to be a factor but its hard to find the issue because it does seem like a random bug- also, it's not the flaps getting sprung by the wind sweep Intel i9-10900K 3.7GHz RTX 2080 Super Windforce OC G. There was a similar a case some weeks months back IIRC. Can't remember the outcome, while the flaps/trim seems to trigger a memory. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
WarthogOsl Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Make sure you don't have the autopilot accidentally engaged before launch. I've done that accidentally a few times and it results in a huge pitch up. 1
Lt_Jaeger Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Trim is running away if joining the back seat for some time. If in front again, always make sure pitch trim is reset. Checklists are your friend ... 1
Rhrich Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Make sure to check that the trim is correctly set. do that before every time you launch. if it’s still an issue, then let us know. 1
draconus Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I bet #1 is about checking the trim before launch while #2 sounds exactly like wake turbulence - you don't fly directly behing the wing. Get lower and get into position a bit under and aft the tanker. Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
