I'm having a similar problem happening right when I should spawn in my jet in MP. DCS freezes for a very long time and then sometimes loads, and sometimes the client crashes. I try the Nvidia app like you suggest... mine has me stumped. Once/If I'm able to slot in, then I'm usually fine for several spawns.

Do you have this respawn problem also in the singleplayer mission ?

It is literally the same. Once I slot in, it works until I disconnect and go in another server. Then it is again 50/50. But more likely it freezes forever. Today I've finished clean system installation so later I will check how's the game running without any special system tweaks.

Ok, upload this file to Saved Games\DCS\Config, recreate your issue and send me the new dcs.log please.

autoexec.cfg 56 B · 2 downloads

After like 20 attemps I am not able to reproduce gain. 😞 At one point it looked like it wasn't actually starting, but after a minute and a half it did.

Something must be different after the clean system installation. There are few changes like turned off some tasks in background: Samsung Magican software, Sonic Suite Companion, Nvidia tray icon,... But the main difference is the drives are no longer remapped under VMD (IRST Raid controller)

So I don't know what now. You may ask Flia to reproduce.

Edit: I don't have installed all peripheral drivers yet.

Edit 2: I will post the log once I will be able to reproduce again.

I did a "download reinstall" rather than a "delete savedgames" style because mine was still showing "Open.Beta" hoping that would help... nope. Same thing again. I'll try the download and see if I can reproduce it this afternoon.
Glad to see it's not just an anomaly that creeped up on my end.

I did when it first started, but the only time I'm in single player is for .miz testing. It'll try that again as well.

*Edit
I just tried to reproduce the issue, but I couldn't get it to freeze in Single or Multiplayer. :sigh: I have the autoexec.cfg installed now, so when it does freeze (I'm confident it will) I'll post my dcs.log. This is frustrating... I've been pulling what little hair I have left out over this issue this week, and now it won't reproduce it. I will catch it when it does though!

It takes 9 minutes (!) to load that DLL. Which antivirus do you use?
And do you use MSI Afterburner by chance (have it installed)?

Hi again Special K. You think the MSI Afterburner can be really tho Cause of this strangeloading problem ? That's strange because I have used MSI Afterburner for years alongside DCS and I have never experienced such problems.

Yes, there is a known critical issue with MSI Afterburner and AMD CPUs.

Oh i see. Im going to test it.It sounds logical because on my previous PC I used Afterburner in combination with an Intel processor whereas now I have an AMD processor.

I have to say that so far every DCS launch and loading of the plane has been successful. With MSI Afterburner off. But of course it could be coincidences...

So far. 3x loading ok. And then same problem. And on the 5th attemp ok loading. So maybe its a slightly better with Afterburner off. Time will tell.

I've noticed that TrackIR5 often crashes when the game crashes. Could this be related?

I noticed my TrackIr was off unexpectidly. My computer wanted to go into DND Mode when playing a game -- I turned that off and now TrackIr stays on..

I'm in this thread bc I can't join in MP

So, I had an un-updated version of the MSI "Suite" installed (that I have never used), so I just uninstalled all of it. I now cannot recreate the spawn in freeze. I bounced from one server to the next like a madman on a mission, and I was still able to rapidly slot into my airframe. On two occasions, I did however, freeze at the "Net Sim Post Start" and had to restart my client. Uninstalling the MSI Software looks like the first route to take for sure.

Now that I am back to being able to slot in without issue in both Static and Dynamic Slots, I am still noticing that my graphics as a whole have taken a bit of a hit, a lot of which seems server dependant. I'll keep testing in between flights and see if I can reproduce my original issue, but as of now, the MSI software seems to culprit.
Thanks for the assist Special K!!

*EDIT: I too am using TrackIR5 and have never had any issues with it causing problems.

The ones of you that use TrackIR, you might want to check if you downgrade to an older software version. There are a lot of complaints about the latest one together with DCS.
