AI seeing through clouds

 Now that Ai can't see through dense fog with the latest patch, will ED finally fix AI seeing thru clouds, specifically WW2 AI?

And duplicating the same post in multiple sub-forums all in the same large letters isn't going to help your cause either.

ED has already said the cloud mechanics are different to the fog mechanics, so it's not directly transferable.  And they've indicated they'd like to make clouds more realistic in blocking LOS and IR signatures and it's something they're trying to implement without bringing our computers to a screeching halt.  The answer sucks, but it's reality and not without reason: you'll have to be patient.

Yes, in a very negative way that (if I were ED) would have reduced any impact it would have had on getting the issue fixed.  Honestly, it's just a rude thing to do.  It's pretty much an ALL CAPs post on steroids.  No one sees it until they open your post, at which point they were likely going to read it anyway, so you're not really helping your cause.  In fact, I would have answered your original post a lot sooner if you hadn't done that.

  Franky, you are making a big deal simply because I used a large font. If I am not allowed to use a font this size then perhaps these forums can limit their size. It seemed a logical question to ask in view of the latest patch. I am not aware of how these things get fixed in game, I am not a programmer. I would like this to be fixed only because it would bring more realistic immersion to the game and benefit everyone.

I agree that it would be great to have clouds interact with IR.  I'd love to see that and it sounds like ED is working on it (and that it may actually be coming sooner than I might have thought from some Discord posts).  And it's perfectly fine to ask if it's coming or to not know how it might get fixed in the game or that this is a separate thing to the fog.  And lots of people here will be willing to comment and explain those details.  But if you use normal fonts next time you'll be more likely to get a response and details on how/when/why/why not because your post won't be perceived as yelling at ED and demanding they do something

No disrespect was meant to Eagle Dynamics. As far as the double post is concerned, it was not on purpose. I had posted this some years ago in the Wishlist and that is where I posted yet again only to realize after posting that it probably should go in the bugs AI section where it it usually highlighted by ED. Perhaps, where ED might at least respond to it. If they are working on it, great, maybe they could tell me so? I have always posted with smaller font and honestly I get few responses if at all and almost never from ED! I will refrain from using large font and apologize for any misunderstanding, however it was not my intention to be derogatory, disrespectful or negative in any way. I enjoy DCS and have ALWAYS been supportive of their efforts to make this game as great as it can be.

BTW, I was very upbeat and enthusiastic when I posted this message, hoping they would respond to it. I see now that it could be construed as negative but that was definitely not the case. I certainly wasn't yelling!
