Was attempting to fly WALTZ mission. Starts on deck, but can't taxi turn 90 degrees like the AI can. Even with my axis settings pegged to max, turn radius takes me off edge of deck. How do I get a nice 90 degree turn like the AI?

  • Evil.Bonsai changed the title to f18c taxi radius too large; nm, found HIGH GAIN turn

Thanks. I am a moron. Found HG turn. Been a long while since I attempted to fly hornet. Usually flying a10c. Even forgot to change stick from a10c to f18c...but found you can hotswap them while in flight.

Note: With wings folded just press Paddle switch (Nosewheel Steering) once and NWS HI is enabled; with wings unfolded you need to press and hold the Paddle to enable NSW HI.

About carrier ops: "The younger pilots are still quite capable of holding their heads forward against the forces. The older ones have been doing this too long and know better; sore necks make for poor sleep.'

I think you meant undesignate/NWS pinky switch.  The paddle is used to disengage NWS.
