Annapolis81 Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Unable to get authorization for DCS after the latest update. In addition, my F-4 license is no longer recognized and will not load-- making it unplayable. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. sleighzy Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 What Rudel_chw said. Once you've added the antivirus exclusion for the entire DCS installation folder, restart your PC, and then run a slow repair of the game. 2 AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
Annapolis81 Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 According to Microsoft Defender, there is a malware threat imbedded in the software. It rates it as "severe" and it won't allow it to be circumvented. This is different from the issue I had with the Harrier earlier this year. Intel Core i9 14900KF (OC to 5.6), 64GB DDR5 (5600 MHz), NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, 4.0 TB M.2 2280 SSD (PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe (up to 64 Gbps)), HP Reverb 2, and PIMAX Crystal Light.
Slippa Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 I've had nothing but trouble with this all afternoon. F4 unauthorised, 3 day thing and I'm getting knocked straight off any MP servers with a protocol error. I've excluded the folder from the AV and ran a slow repair after a quick one made no difference. Bloody DCS is the only bit of software that constantly fails and needs messing with. I've sat here with my trackir hat on to watch repairs and failures. Lovely. 1
Solution Major Corvus Posted December 28, 2024 Solution Posted December 28, 2024 22 hours ago, Rudel_chw said: Add an antivirus exclusion for the DCS Folder. Also include the DCS folders in your USERS/YOURUSER/SAVED GAMES folder. Run a fast repair from the launcher then reboot. That worked for me 2 Kit: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO, ASUS 5090 ROG ASTRAL, 64 GB, Varjo Aero HMD running Open VR Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas, Thrustmaster Pendular rudder peddles MODS: Pretty much all of them
