d0ppler Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Internet/google isn't helping me today. I'm looking for a table with the different speeds, like for example VSO (stall speed landing config), VNE (never exceed), VY (best rate of climb), VX (best angle of climb), VFE (max flap extended), VR (rotation), VLE (max landing gear extended), etc.. Preferably in km/h. A-10C, AV-8B, Ka-50, F-14B, F-16C, F-5E, F/A-18C, L-39, Mi-8, MiG-21, MiG-29, SA34, Spitfire, Su-27, Su-33, UH-1H

This will tell you when the plane will stall, for example, so you already can determine the VSO your self. I believe VY should be 900km/h TAS, but I am not 100% sure. The RL manual has it as the climb speed. If memory serves me right VNE is M2.5 (cockpit canopy limited) and I can't remember the IAS at the moment. I can check for the rest if I have time. 1 i5-4690K CPU 3.50Ghz @ 4.10GHz; 32GB DDR3 1600MHz; GeForce GTX 1660 Super; LG IPS225@1920x1080; Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB; Windows 10 Pro
AeriaGloria Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) I replied to you on Reddit. For everyone else here I will quote myself ”That’s because what you need is the flight manual. Minimum control speed- 200 kmh VNE- 1400 kmh IAS, Mach 2.35 VY- depends on profile: for MIL climb this is 870-900 kmh TAS. For AB climb this is Mach 0.9. Above 12 km you usually need to climb at Mach 1.65+ or 1250 kmh TAS when going for max cieling or speed VX- this depends on altitude and climb profile. There is no one VX angle. I often find 10 degrees with MiL power works for me until you get high. You can work it out manually by following the speed recommendations for climb profile VFE- 600 kmh IAS VR- maximum ground speed of front wheel, 320 kmh, main wheels is 360 kmh VLE- 500 kmh There isn’t much else. Best turning speed is 850-1000 kmh, though most people use 800-900 kmh for lower G and better radius.” Edited January 7 by AeriaGloria 3 Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com

One thing though, flow separation (I.e stall) only occurs really at 40-50 degrees AOA, and AOA gauge only goes up to 30, which is still helpful as above 25-30 degree AOA is when you lose almost all lateral and directional control. For landing, I would consider about 15 degrees my limit, as the tail will not the runway at 16 degrees AOA As far as endurance and best range speeds go, for MiG-29 this is 4-7 degrees AOA. I would expect perhaps 2 degrees lower for Su-27 Edited January 7 by AeriaGloria Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com

Using 1400 km/hr, you can maintain that speed until the fuel runs out. But using Mach as the reference, you are limited to 5 minutes in the 2.15-2.35 range due to possible degradation of the canopy. When it comes to radius fight, any speed higher than just above stall value will have the same effect. Smaller radius in a rate fight and better rate in a radius fight will not help, 'cause of geometry. i5-4690K CPU 3.50Ghz @ 4.10GHz; 32GB DDR3 1600MHz; GeForce GTX 1660 Super; LG IPS225@1920x1080; Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB; Windows 10 Pro

The Mach 0.85 G limit means you can’t achieve it above around 925-935 kmh TAS.
