Hello everyone,

Maybe someone has an idea how I can fix the following problem. This problem exists for me

since Eagle Dynamics implemented the new voice chat system.

I can talk to other pilots with the internal radio system and they can hear me, but if others talk

ingame to me, i hear only the clicking sound of the radio system from the push button but no voices.

My actual solution is that I change in the audio options of DCS to the sound speaker of my monitor.

It looks like this then.

(Syncmaster ist my monitor)

But if i use the sound card from my mainboard with my 5.1 surround system, there is no voice sound inside my aircraft.

Very strange is that all other sounds from DCS works.

I hear everything (engines, explosions, ...), but not the radio system voice.

In the past, I used SRS Radio with DCS and all was fine. But in my community they want now

use the internal voice chat system and now I have silence in my communication system.

Information : I have no problems with my mainboard sound card in other games. Everything works there.

Teamspeak, Skype, MS Teams, Dicsord. All is fine.

I updated DCS to the last version.

My Sound drivers are the new one from asus. See attachment.

I think it's a bug from the DCS game, because the SRS Radio works and all other games and voice clients work too.

Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

Workaround : Ok, i can switch to my lousy monitor speakers inside DCS, but i would prefer the sound of my 5.1 surround

for the voice chat.

Regards

Marvel

Hi, have you tried this guide?

Thanks for your advice. I read the guide and checked my windows and DCS settings. It was not possible to activate  the sound from my mainboard.
Maybe the reason ist the following. The guide say : "If you're using the Sonar software, ensure Headphones is set to "SteelSeries Sonar - Chat"."

I have this Sonar Software installed, but the audio output "sonic studio virtual mixer) has no sound, because my speakers use the Realtek Audio output.
I tried to uninstall the Sonar Software, but i cannot find it in Windows/programs.

Maybe i can disable or uninstall the driver in windows himself, but the risk,
that my windows is then corrupt, is too high for me.

OK. If you want to make the test, just use this Disable/Enable feature, it works very well (you won't break anything, you just tell Windows not to use such device for now, but you can tell it otherwise whenever you want).

If you want to try and uninstall, a DCS user found the solution here: https://www.reddit.com/r/steelseries/comments/qcnfy4/steelseries_gg_installed_the_new_sonar_update_and/

Open a command prompt in:

C:\Program Files\SteelSeries\GG\apps\sonar\driver

Run the two commands:

Sonar.DevInst.exe remove --cat=sonar.apo.cat
Sonar.DevInst.exe remove --cat=SteelSeries.Sonar.vad.cat
