jackd Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) HI, cannot figure this out as i cannot fire the guns and cannon ... engine is full running, in air. I got the bombs to drop, but also cannot setup a payload with rockets in the Mission Editor. The manual is not very clear on this it seems. Tips welcome! Edited January 15 by jackd
peachmonkey Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) you can equip the bird with the rockets by right-clicking in the middle of box 3 and 1: To fire cannons/guns: - turn on the master arm, wing arm (top left of the dashboard), there are 2 switches - flip the safety cover on the stick null Edited January 15 by peachmonkey 2 1
peachmonkey Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) to fire rockets you use the same button as the bomb drop, however you must have the rocket arm switch in ON position (left switch below) null Edited January 15 by peachmonkey 2 1

Busy now with setting up my Streambox for the A8. However right clicking on 1 or 3 gives me only the remove payload option, but if only i deactivate the little watch mid under, the rockets are loadable: Edited January 16 by jackd

Anyhow, it seems you've figured it out anyway, so cheers to that!

The rockets were not around until 1943, thus making them not available. 1 1
jackd Posted January 17 Author Posted January 17 (edited) So far i cannot get the in front of the cockpit nose-guns to fire =============================================================================== Streamdeck, just found the Multi Action Switch function... one button press now activates several Hotkeys with a 20 ms delay in between. Guns ready to fire LoL. Next press switches them off again with the same coding under 2. Example: This should be possible in the DCS control setup pages for each plane. ADDED a question, it seems that the FW190 a8 is not always as obedient to the keypresses,. as well direct from the keyboard, or indirect via my Streamdeck unit. Is there a reason for that regarding USB input? (hub power management allowance is set to off}. I fixed a bricked a Thrustmaster Base with their bootloader, but only could using a motherboard's USB 2.0 bus, not via USB 3.0. Edited January 19 by jackd 1
jackd Posted January 23 Author Posted January 23 (edited) ADDED 2 - Figured out some more. I connected the streamdeck to a Motherboard direct main USB 5Gbps bus (blue, think USB 3.2 v1) and run Streamdeck as Administrator, advice from Elgato support. Also switched off Game Mode in windows settings. A lot of keys now work which did not before. Edited January 27 by jackd 1
jackd Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 ADDED 3 - Just got another mail from elgato tech support, they're still working on it, and sent them extensive reports on the not working wth win keys, when setup in streamdeck. Meanwhile i got a second hand Razer Tartarus v2 ganmepad ... that works fine with the win keys in multi action key setups. 1
Slippa Posted March 10 Posted March 10 Make sure to save a copy of your control inputs and any other folders or whatnot (like you might have for your streamdeck). The amount of times I had to go plonking through bindings redoing them wasn’t funny. Sounds like you’re all sorted anyhow . 1
jackd Posted March 10 Author Posted March 10 Quite used to it now, if only the win keys would work it's a perfect asset for DCS. That little Razer thing is in fact better and easier, but it hasn't got the programmable button displays.
