TK-421 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Can we please add an option under the ground crew menu that asks the crew chief to report on damage to your aircraft? It would need voice lines, something like; "Chief, what's the damage?" And then the crew chief would reply with a basic report on the aircraft status, like eg; "She's all good" "Landing was a little rough, you busted a tyre" "You took some fire, there are holes but the systems look fine" "Systems fine but your hydraulic are shot" "Fuel leak in left wing" If it was something that wasn't pre-recorded or to keep it simple you could say three things; 1. "Everything is fine" (no damage) 2. "You took some damage but all systems operational" (some cosmetic damage but good to fly) 3. "You need repairs" (damage to systems and need repairs) Reason I ask this is that many servers do not allow the F2 external view, so it is near impossible to figure out the damage to your aircraft. Personally I prefer to keep my airframe instead of constantly spawning a new one. Plus it would also negate the need to repair all the time if there was no meaningful damage to the aircraft. 1
Tank50us Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Jester kinda does this already in the F-4E and F-14. He may not tell you exactly what's wrong with the plane, but he'll give you an idea of the issues. 1

Yeah so something like this that was integrated into the ground crew menu, like removing chocks or ground power. It would be incredibly handy for places like the Heatblur and Shadow Reapers cold war servers. Even something as simple as "Do I need repairs?" with a "Yes" or "No" based on if there are any damages to critical systems. 2
draconus Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Full walkaround is like 1-5 mins. That's searching for basic visual damage. Any holes practically need maintenance check, which means no flying today, otherwise it's very risky to startup again. My vote for walkaround feature first, which we do ourselves, then maybe ground crew report available after 1-5mins wait time (this is some average time, might need more) depending on aircraft. Another vote for a wingman task - visual check during a flight. 2 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria

If you get it, you get it XD 1
