The ATGM sight's slewing "resolution" is too coarse.

Making fine adjustments with the ATGM sight while in the CPG seat is made more difficult than it has to be, because the sight slews in big steps of rate. This means for fine adjustment, a little input will yield no change in sight movement, a little more input results in a sudden jarring transition to too much sight movement. If the target requires a slew rate between these two steps, the CPG must unnaturally switch between the two slewing steps to keep the sight on target. Please increase the resolution between slewing increments. Both mouse controlled slewing or axis controlled slewing is affected by this problem.

0.07 degree/s is the limit. Its computer and actuators just can’t stabilize and do such small movements while slewing at the same time.

Becuase of this is one reason that you see IRL Mi-24 often only target vehicles while flying straight at them. This way the operator doesn’t need to constantly slew on target as the perspective changes since it’s not ground stabilized.

The Mi-35M and its FLIR/TV turret doesn’t completely solve this either, just halves it at 0.035 degree/s.

This is interesting. Do you have any technical documentation to back up those figures? I haven't been able to find any.

Asking AG if he has any docs to back it up is like going down a very, very deep rabbit hole. Good luck.

Polish Raduga 9K113 manual. Honestly surprised ED knew unless it was a past service member that told them. I only came upon this Polish document by the luck and grace of another enthusiast who had physical access to the Krakow museum and knew of my interest
