Instead of pressing ESC and going to the main game menu to look at the message history which freezes the game when playing in multiplayer, it would be nice if the messages were instead copied to a page on the kneeboard. This would allow you to configure your aircraft at the same time as you are reviewing the messages, for example when reviewing a 9 line or CAT 3 message. This would emulate an real kneeboard.

I like the idea for it showing up in the kneeboard, but realize that doing ESC in MP doesn't actually freeze anything.  You can very successfully crash or get shot down while you're busy looking at that stuff 🤣.  In SP it does pause the game.

The issue is that in MP, you can't input the data from the message history until you close the message history window. This is OK for if you are not in VR as you can write this data on a notepad, but you cannot do this in VR so, having the message data sent to the kneeboard solves this issue.

Changes like this to the knee board have been needed for years. To me it's been one of the biggest holes in DCS as we also can't even add information to it in the Mission Editor. I've no idea why ED feel this is low priority as I think it would add much needed usability into the game especially for VR players. Over the same years things have changed, we can now get co-ordinates from the F10 in the game and even the case 3 info for the F18 gets reproduced on it, but for whatever reason they have never taken the kneeboard further than where it is. Considering it is an essential bit of real military aviation is crazy to me. Good luck with this request!
