within 30nm:terrain loads normally.

35nm-45nm:a wide FOV does not load terrain, a narrow FOV loads terrain.

50nm away:unable to load terrain properly.

the trk file only uses AGM84H for demonstration,AGM84E also has the same problem.

Hi,

this is a DCS core issue due to performance and fps considerations. For now this is correct and intended. In the future it maybe tweaked.

thank you

@BIGNEWY Are you aware that this issue renders CM802AKG unusable? Unlike SLAM-ER it requires terminal guidance, it can't just hit coordinates on its own

No problem, as I’m sure were getting the CM400 soon

Well, actually, this is exactly the issue.
@BIGNEWY has informed us that the modules currently being sold contain some gamebreaking bugs, and that this is considered "correct and intended."
Could you please clarify this position, ED?

Please allow me to clarify my point: I greatly enjoy DCS and hold a deep respect for the level of detail the developers bring to their modules.
However, the specific issue with the missing textures undermines the outstanding work of the team who created the JF-17, as one of its weapons becomes effectively unusable.
Furthermore, this problem also affects other modules — I have encountered a similar issue with the F/A-18C.
This significantly diminishes my motivation to purchase additional modules, as it raises concerns that similar problems may arise, and instead of being resolved, may be deemed "correct and intended" by the ED team.
With all due respect, this is neither correct nor acceptable.

HI @BIGNEWY,

I wanted to share a suggestion for your consideration. During the development phase, I recall the AKG missile having a functional seeker view, originally implemented as a TV/IR feed. I understand this was later deemed incorrect, with the correct feed expected to come from the datalink pod.

Given the current limitations of the DCS engine in handling this data, would it be possible to temporarily revert the seeker view back to the TV feed? This could serve as an interim solution until full datalink functionality is supported.

Such a change would not only enhance usability for virtual pilots—making the AKG and similar missiles like the AGM-84E more enjoyable—but also help reduce the immediate pressure on the ED team to implement a permanent fix.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
