healerf18 Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hi Everyone. I made a very simple button/switch box with an Arduino Pro Micro with just two toggle switches for DCS. One switch for the primer in the P-51 Mustang and one switch for the starter. Works great (kinda proud of myself!) But when I toggle either switch for the first time in DCS, the airplane's joy stick moves full left (ailerons left) and the throttle moves full forward. These are controlled by two separate controllers (Virpil for stick and Warthog for throttle). Moving the stick and throttle brings them back to the normal position in DCS and everything works normally. It only happens first time in the DCS cockpit. If I crash and die and jump into a new airplane, no problems at all. I've done a bunch of searching but can't find anything that addresses this problem. I'm not at all sure how the switches on the Arduino controller are creating an input to the stick and throttle. Thoughts? Thanks!
No1sonuk Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Did you set it up as a HID ("joystick" buttons)? If you did, did you blank the whole column in the button AND axis controls pages in DCS before setting up the controls you want? When you add an new HID, DCS "guesses" what you want to use it for. 2

Most probably this, DCS tends to assign existing key binds to new peripherals Intel I5 13600k / AsRock Z790 Steel Legend / MSI 4080s 16G Gaming X Slim / Kingston Fury DDR5 5600 64Gb / Adata 960 Max / HP Reverb G2 v2 Virpil MT50 Mongoost T50 Throttle, T50cm Base & Grip, VFX Grip, ACE Interceptor Rudder Pedals w. damper / WinWing Orion2 18, 18 UFC & HUD, PTO2, 2x MFD1 / Logitech Flight Panel / VKB SEM V / 2x DIY Button Box

I found this with a Razer Tartarus v2, inserts a column in my cotroller page, even with axis stuff. You cannot remove it, and i had to clear all automatic inserted stuff manually.

Ah, nope! That makes sense. I'll go back, blank the columns and try again. Thank you!!

Thank you!! you could also check the upper part of the device wihin DCS settings controls, and select "disabled", so that device will be invisible for DCS. i5 8400 | 32 Gb RAM | RTX 2080Ti | Virpil Mongoose T-50 base w/ Warthog & Hornet sticks | Warthog throttle | Cougar throttle USB | Orion 2 throttle base w/ Viper & Hornet grips| VKB T-Rudder Mk IV | Oculus Rift S | Buddy-Fox A-10 UFC | 2x TM MFDs & 1x WW DDI | 2x Bass shakers | SIMple SIMpit chair | WW TakeOff panel | Andre JetSeat | WW Hornet UFC | WW Viper ICP FC3 - Warthog - F-5E - Harrier - NTTR - Hornet - Tomcat - Huey - Viper - C-101 - PG - Hip - SuperCarrier - Syria - Warthog II - Hind - South Atlantic - Sinai - Strike Eagle - Phantom - Mirage F1 - Afghanistan - Irak
