Missionpack V2.6 released!

 

 

Change log:

 

- Default payload in briefings of every mission.

- Changed speed and formation of the tanks in "Attack on Krymsk". (because of crash)

- More complex trigger for suicide-trucks in "Rookie Terrorists". (because they stuck at the start)

- Changed default payload in "Rookie Terrorists" (S-8 OFP2).

- One manpad deleted in "Rookie Terrorists".

- Other trigger for message about attacking convoy in "The Dam".

do these have to be installed though modman or can i just drop into my folder and hosta direct IP link with friends to multiplay?

what is the addon.lma3 file?

There are versions for SP and versions for MP:

 

 

If you use modman, the Multiplayer-missions will be installed into the folder:

ROOT/Missions/DRAGONs_MP

 

- DRAGONs_Attack_on_Krymsk_V26MP.miz

- DRAGONs_Black_Gold_of_Anapa_V26MP.miz

- DRAGONs_Convoyhunting_V26MP.miz

I'm pretty damn sure I've played Hindnapping online Dragon, love it! First time I'd done any AA, was so much fun :) Got owned of course, did take one down though.

Of course it is possible that you played HINDnapping online. As you can see in my last posting, there is a MP and SP version of each of my missions.

i played convoyhunting lastnight in SP. I loved it.

And you can play it some times again without seeing the same units.

In Convoyhunting are many units randomly triggered.

 

Also in The Dam, Operation Pushback, NightHawkHunter and BlackGoldOfAnapa.

We were playing convoy hunter (from the v2.6 pack) last night - seems to be a bug with the 2nd FARP - we kept spawning on top of each other...

 

Other than that, excellent fun!

Hi, don´t know if it had been mentioned before, but i happened yesterday again.

I think the artillery in Defense of Batumi is way to aggressive at the beginning.

I immetiadly start up, but in every second flight a grenade destroys one of my engines.

 

Maybe it would be better if they wait 2 or 3 minutes with their attack?

I know this "problem".

 

You played it at goose81's dedecated server called "Swiss Heli Fighters" right?

Following happend:

 

Before the german patch 1.0.1 was released, the english downloadversion was running at this server.

The english downloadversion have a special behaviour of the Paladin-artillery. Nevermind how big the spread radius is, the artillery will shoot at a very small radius arround the center of the target-area.

Since Patch 1.0.1 the artillery damaged you critically.

So I have moved the target-area a little away from the start position of the ka-50s.

Now the german CD-version is running at the server and the paladin-artillery is spreading in the full radius I add in the editor.

If you join on the left side of the start-position the posibillity is high that you will be hit.

 

So... that's life... ;)

This is the charm of this mission.

We've just been playing 'Convoy Hunter' again and I have a suggestion:

 

While I like the 2 stage approach - stage one 'take the FARP' - stage two 'hunt the convoy' - it doesn't work as one mission. Mainly because despite taking the FARP we can't take off from there. You need to understand we're rubbish and die frequently, so once the convoy is underway we inevitably end up back at FARP 1 spooling up while the convoy races towards its goal. Even if you manage to make it to the other side, one hit from a Hummvee and you end up crash landing, then contemplating another ten minute haul back to the action.

 

My suggestion - separate the missions into Convoy part one and Convoy part two. Then FARP 2 becomes the takeoff point and we have a chance of defeating the convoy.

Hey kaiserb_uk.

Thank you for your feedback but in my point of viel this mission will be boring if I split it.

I know several guys who are able to finish the mission on there own.

Also for me and my wingman this is no problem.

It is possible to catch the convoy after a crash behind the monutain ridge.

Also if the convoy reached the factory it is possible to kill the trucks.

I know HMMWVs can damage you critically after the patch but you will not crash after one shot!

 

It is very important that you read the briefing exactly!

- Stay low into the canyons

- Pass sidearms very quickly and in low altetude. There are HAWKs high in the mountains in each sidearm of the river.

- Be cool if you reach the convoy. You have time to wait till the convoy is in a good position to attack. Nothing worse than rushing in this situation!

- Keep outside of enemy ranges. Your Vikhr have a range of 8-10Km.

Roland @ FARP#2 = 7-8 Km, Linebacker @ convoy = 3-5 Km.

Played convoy yesterday and found the way its set up excellent.. Theres a good immersive feeling of storytelling and achievment in its current form, especially with a good team..

The next version of the missionpack will be released in some days. I found some little and medium problems I want to fix.
