I am waiting for Amazon to get the BS manual and will buy it from Amazon.

As a former waiter I think I can explain it better when I compare this Game with a meal you take in a restaurant, and ED and all other participants that have worked and still do work on this game, with the waiters and cooks "preparing and serving" this product.

When I go to a restaurant, i don't go there just fill my stomach. I want to see the effort in cooking the meal and presenting it in an appetizing way by the cooks and having it served by a sympathetic waiter/waitress that likes contact with customers and has an open ear for their wishes and complaints. If these factors are present I'm rewarding this with a big bakshish:smartass:, because then I can say "this was a nice day as a whole". Same with this sim. The developers are maniacs (meant in a positive way;)) that love their work at least as much as we love the result of their work. I don't think they put a "bling-bling-i-do-this-to-buy-a-ferrari-soon" enthusiasm into it to make the biggest amount of cash in the shortest period of time. Everyone in here knows and appreciates this, right?

I respect hard work and and would have paid even more to reward their effort and enthusiasm, although it was cheaper than some other games/sims you can buy nowadays, by the way. On the other hand I still think a full printed user manual is a must in a boxed sim:music_whistling:. I hate the pdf-manual-crap when it comes to complex sims/softwares.

Na, I was just 15 at the time and had a bit of money on hand, I saw LO Gold, and was like "This is cool", I never even really heard of ED before, and I didn't have LOMAC, so I figured might as well.

I prefer to buy dev direct when I can, but back in those days, I didn't have much money and really didn't know that much back then :P

Nowadays, I ether buy dev direct, or I get it digital distro off one of a few sites, or I get it from GoGamer...

Bought the english box version and the LOMAC FC.

But If I really reserched more about BS and knew what type of software protection, activation/deactivation they used for it I most likely would not have bought it.I mean its already cracked so us that have the legal way have to deal with it.

But I already have it and will buy any add-ons for it.Im not gonna get the manual. My dad has a printer for printing books and I just printed mine.

Almost all of us began our "simming carreer" this way. After getting a taste of this drug, we all became addicted to this. In the beginning there was always the "this-is-cool-factor" and my recommendation is not to cure this addiction :pilotfly:.

So true,I still remember my first flight and it was also my first game to have ever played....The very 1st Falcon from Spectrum Holobyte(anyone remember them..lol) back in the mid 80's originally called F-16 Fighting Falcon.I remember me and my dad would connect 2 pc's by serial port and play head to head....lol.I was hooked after that and then LHX Attack Chopper came out from EA...man did I play the hell outa that...lol.

Then after that it was Flight Of the Intruder,BOB Their Finest Hour,Chuck yeagers,Loved those.

If your old enough to remember these games check out this:

http://www.fighterops.com/forum/showthread.php?p=88547

I pretty much have played most of those games and actully still own all the 1's I just listed with all the original boxes and manuals.....just like new....lol.

bought lock on and DCS:BS will kill to get a DCS:F-16/F-15/F-18.....

probably will buy the DCS:A-10 as well... i hate choppers only bought blakc shark to support ED and make sure they have enough cash to make the fixed planes mention above which ofc i will buy every single one...

cheers :D

Yup, exactly, though I do occasionally fly BS. Waiting for DCS: Flanker. It'll deffinity get the A-10 (just to fly something sane!) but if an apache comes out next, I don't think I'm going to get it.

And where's the Flaming Cliffs option? I know, here in the DCS forums it's easy to forget, but ED did make something other than a Ka-50 sim.

out

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Bought Lomac and Flaming Cliffs, got a couple of local friends to buy Lomac as well.

Skipping BS because I'm not interested in the Ka-50.

Will be glad to start throwing them money again when they bring out something with some wings on it again (not some stubs) . . .

Errrr... Sorry. Did you say that you don't like the Ka-50? I personaly can't imagine any simmer not liking this awesome sim. I've never played heli-sims before. After 2 hours of crashing onto rooftops and into my wingmen, I started loving it. It really is fun and the learning and motivation curve is very steep.

Or are you just afraid of getting addicted?!?!? Then never ever touch this sim!!

This seems to be the common sentiment in the western half of the world... people just don't seem to like the KA-50. I can understand why, in a way, as it can be a handful to fly compared to what we have seen in the past. I know I had a few choice words about it when I started! :)

With the way the flight-sim situation has been for the last ten years, I too cannot imagine a hard-core simmer not owning this sim, but everyone has their own opinions and that is OK with me. KA-50 is the best flight sim made to this day and the Blackshark is the perfect model for a sim, but my opinion is jaded as I really only care for hard-core study sims with excellent coop MP.

I can only hope that BS does not get lost in the shuffle when new aircraft get added and new technology arrives.

Sure. everyone has its' likes and dislikes. As so many friends wanted to wake my interest in the Apache, my answer was "nah.. I'll stick to my beloved Falcon 4".

But in general I'm a big fan of russian aviation and engineering. As a photographer I travel to many airshows worldwide. And MAKS is by far the best when it comes to military aviation. I recommend it to any enthusiast. The Hokum has always gained my full attention and as I heared that there would be a super-realistic Hokum-sim, i was like a cat scratching on the bedroom-door the whole night to get inside until I got the sim.

And finally as I got it, I had sleepless nights sitting in the cockpit. In my oppinion, flying a helo is something refreshing, because you learn how to fly for the second time. So similar to planes but also so so so different.

Great Job. I LOVE IT!

Well i am from the US and I dont care who makes the real thing as long as the sim is good Ill play it.

My only 2 complaints with this game is the control settings are really annoying to setup if you make a mistake there isnt just a single default setting to change back to,and the other is the type of software protection....activate/deactivate crap I hate.

It´s a pity the protection they choose, also for DVD version.

I don´t buy it and i won´t do it.

There are lot of ways to do, and they choose the one who **** legal user.
