Hammer1-1 Posted March 20 Posted March 20 helicopter pilots especially; when air starting, or by some reason the aircraft is in the air, it would be nice to have the ability to raise or drop the collective to the proper pull pitch before taking control of the aircraft. DCS already reads the position of the controls, and DCS knows the position the throttles already need to be in while the aircraft is airborne, it would be awesome if there were a graph or slider that pops up telling you to advance or retard your throttles to a certain position as well as stick trim and such. Vakarian Posted March 21 Posted March 21 +1 This isn't necessarily related to the save states, even for the basic air starts (Instant Actions missions for example) this would be a welcome addition. 1

Have you tried the "Sync with HOTAS at mission start" setting in the general settings?

Yes, and Im not referring to that. When the aircraft is air start, its at a specific velocity and trim level. If its a helicopter, you arent going to set the collective or cyclic correctly and you will fly erratically until you stabilize it. Sync with controls works after the fact and to YOUR controls; I am referring to syncing your controls to the AIRCRAFT before you take control. If ED plans to incorporate a save function for missions and campaigns, its likely they will be a lot of air starts, and correctly set controls would be necessary. Yeah, that's a great idea. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
