At the moment we are not seeing any indication of why you are having this issue. Its odd. Leave it with us and we will have a think about it and see if we can come up with some answers.

I wish you can solve it as it will save me (and many others) the hassle (and cost) of buying additional drive just because maps are becoming huge these days and I'll like to have different maps in DCS

All we can tell so far is the terrains are not being authorised - reason unknown. 

Directories look good, and go to the redirection. 

But when we test terrains are authorised and all seems normal. 

Its very odd. 

 

Can I ask what antivirus / security you are using?

Bitdefender Antivirus Plus. So far no issues with DCS

And just to be sure, 

you are using terrains from the dedicated server and not linking to client terrains?

I thought the whole exercise was to use terrains from the core installation to save space as @Darkdiz suggested and used before.

You should not use the client terrains, you need to use the terrains on the dedicated server. 

The licencing is different as you do not need to own them to host them on a dedicated server.

@BIGNEWY wouldn't be possible for those already having the maps to use dedicated server (same pc) with the core maps and save this important volume of GBs?

It would not be possible sorry, the dedicated ones are built in a way so all can use them on the dedicated server. The client ones require authorisation like any other module in DCS.

Funny thing is though, it USED to work fine up until the last patch, saved a ton of disk space. Oh well
