TasDozer Posted March 26 Posted March 26 This is a Windows issue rather than DCS, really. When flying, if I don't touch the mouse or keyboard for a few minutes, Windows turns the screens off. Is there a way to prevent this just for DCS? I know I can go into the Windows power settings and stop the computer going to sleep ever, or set a longer timeout, but I actually want the computer to sleep quickly normally... just not when I've got DCS running!

scommander2 Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) Say: I have my DCS main screen is running, and I wait for a while my screen goes blank if I do not touch my mouse and keyboard for a while or I am away. Yes, I do have the monitor off after 15 minutes and rest of them is never to keep DCS running. There is a tiny mouse jiggler sold on the internet to simulate a mouse cursor (small) movement and it will keep the monitor is on always. Or ..., disable Power Management completed. Raven (Elysian Angel) Posted March 26 Posted March 26 I seem to remember you can configure Project Lasso to load a different Power Profile when certain applications are running (you can select them yourself IIRC). This is how I remember it at least, it's been a while since I used Project Lasso. The alternative is writing a script or batch file to kill the "Power" service when you launch DCS, and to re-enable it once it closes. I have no idea how to do that, however. 1 Spoiler Ryzen 9 5900X | 64GB G.Skill TridentZ 3600 | Asus ProArt RTX 4080 Super | ASUS ROG Strix X570-E GAMING | Samsung 990Pro 2TB + 960Pro 1TB NMVe | VR: Varjo Aero Pro Flight Trainer Puma | VIRPIL MT-50CM2 grip on VPForce Rhino with Z-curve extension | Virpil CM3 throttle | Virpil CP2 + 3 | FSSB R3L | VPC Rotor TCS Plus base with SharKa-50 grip | Everything mounted on Monstertech MFC-1 | TPR rudder pedals OpenXR | PD 1.0 | 100% render resolution | DCS graphics settings
TasDozer Posted March 26 Author Posted March 26 Cheers - I had a look at a few of those solutions and... just set the sleep timeout to 20 minutes instead of 5. That'll do I think! It only really comes up when flying warbirds or other aircraft where I can use the HOTAS 100% for most of the time... obviously when I'm constantly clicking switches with the mouse the situation doesn't arise 2
