DmitriKozlowsky Posted April 3 Posted April 3 So after getting sufficiently competent, for my needs, in flying and fighting AH-64D as pilot with CPG AIGeorge. Time to train as CPG. Flying a mission entire as CPG. No back seat entry Problems #1 Pilot George does not start engines. Must be forced through AutoStart. #2 Auto Startup from CPG Station. Pilot George never completes the start up. #3 Insufficient communication options. That I am aware of using CPG station George AI. Ex. No "Start up", "No Shut Down"/ Or Message from Pilot George "Starting" After 5-7 minutes of waiting I terminated mission. Basic question, at start of mission, in cold dark AH-64D CPG is "OK now how do we get going?" or "What am I supposed to do now?" PilotGeorge_doesnotstart.trk
Floyd1212 Posted April 3 Posted April 3 I'm guessing ED is not advertising that the Apache can be flown solely from the CPG seat at this time. So, until ED fleshes out George as PLT to include startup and shutdown, your best bet is to get things up and running from the back seat, then switch to the front and go from there.

What I want is currently not implemented. Being able to fly from cold dark to landing and shut down entirely from CPG station as single offline player. Gotta switch back and forth.

There are limited controls in the CPG station for a reason - the pilot is the driver, and as such the 'captain' of the aircraft. In the same way that the pilot does not have complete flexibility and control over all the sensors and weapons to the same level of refinement and ease of use as the CPG, aircraft 'management' is similarly limited to the CPG. Could that not be an option - get everything up and running, bring all the systems on line, then swap into CPG and use George to get airborne etc? I don't want it to be solution. I want to the fly the mission entirely in CPG, from cold&dark to shutdown. Apparently that is not in the cards, currently. Hopefully ED will implement improved CPG/AI vPilot communications to include start up, shut down, abandon aircraft, etc..
