Hi all. Is it possible attack buildings, objects on the ground with laser bombs?? Can jester select those targets?. I am in a mission where the target is a bunker but it doesnt have a option to say that to jester. The mission have the task to attack that bunker. the "head option" is not for the tgp screen.

For me to bomb the static object likes bunker, I will prepare label the object from the F10 map using "make label" with my own labeling.

Then, ask Jester for "Set Q Mode" -> "QMAP Marker Utility" for each my labeling.

If you have visual on the target, go for Qeyeball, then fine tune with Qdirect. Don't forget to command Designate.

If you have to keep afar or at night you'll have to use map labels (object can be assigned in ME beforehand) or make WYPT from known coords.

thank u all. ill try those steps in a training mission first. So... if u have that type of mission in a payware campaign (u cant edit it)... do u use q-direct option on the VDI or marker in the f10?.

Depends.

Some missions have the targeted objects to be hidden from F10, Q-direct is only the option.

If it's a payware campaign doing this, then the author should have made Jester find the target automatically. There are currently no payware campaigns where you need to cue Jester onto a mission target.

For Reflected's campaigns, you don't need to touch Jester at all. Not even in Zone 5, which is more freeform and where comms helps sometimes. In those campaigns, he will talk to you. In general, he acts very human-like there. Also, even in stock Reforger II campaign, he will talk you on and even fire missiles by himself. In a campaign, there's plenty of ways to script Jester so he becomes more proactive.

Jester comms are mostly useful in MP, and in dynamic campaigns where you'd need a very advanced AI to script those things. In campaigns, just about the only thing I did was control his scanning behavior. Between Jester scripting and TWS-Auto, you can really afford to focus on flying, instead of trying to do two jobs at once.
