Entire Afghanistan map

So, I now have the eastern Afghanistan map and the southwest Afghanistan map. Is it safe to assume that there will be a northern Afghanistan map released at some point? Is there any reason at all that I would want the entire all in one Afghanistan map or would I have all of it when/if a northern map comes out?

3 months since the East came out - any news on when the North might arrive ?

My guess is that it will be released in a more polished (not to mean final) state then the south was…which is a good thing IMO.

Yes, I think they’ve settled on an approach and technology that lets them put out a good product, and have had some experience putting it to use now, which is why I thought they might be able to step back into their original plan to release the component areas every 3 months.

I agree that it would be nice to have the whole map (+1 wit Iraq background 3D quality). We are currently celebrating the anniversary of the release of this map and according to the original plan it should have been complete long ago, the delay is now over half a year but it should be noted that the next update (part 2) introduced better quality of this map (not like Irak at release but looks better).

Part 2 appeared in February, following this path (8 months instead of 3) part 3 should appear in ... October, although apparently it was rebuilding also because the characteristics of part 1 were changed. The whole map may therefore appear in the July - October interval. A fairly large window.
