gizmo Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Hi All, I would like to seek your advice on a new PC build. Can I get some good system hardware. Currently I'm looking at AMD 9800 3D but open to other AMD or Intel but I'm unsure of a motherboard, ram and Graphics card. 5090 is out cause it's too expensive. PC is meant for Flight Sims only and using VR as well. Please help. Thank you If you want Peace, be prepared to fight for it ! :pilotfly:

BitMaster Posted April 30 Posted April 30 If you plan to buy MANY DCS modules, 1TB is NOT enough anymore, plan for a 2 or even 4TB NVMe drive and while you are add it, think about the 96GB option 6000MHz with a nice low latency around 28-30 bundled with a 9800X3D. That's the sweet spot Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus XG27ACG QHD 180Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
Markus77 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Hello, if you are using an AMD CPU, use a maximum of two RAM modules. MSI specifies this as follows, for example (MPG X870E CARBON WIFI): 1DPC 1R Max speed up to 8400+ MT/s 1DPC 2R Max speed up to 6400+ MT/s 2DPC 1R Max speed up to 6400+ MT/s 2DPC 2R Max speed up to 4800+ MT/s (1DPC) means one DIMM slot per memory channel Greetings Markus
