Razor18 Posted Saturday at 01:43 PM Posted Saturday at 01:43 PM (edited) Hi There, hope it is just me, but after dropping 2 JDAMs, when going after the convoy, if you try to use the CCIP gun pipper, you will shoot waaay above the target. It is an ancient problem ED couldn't find since 2018 despite multiple user reports. And I have no any mod activated, nothing. If you try to switch to manual pipper, and do not change the holdover, you still have to aim approx. with the 12 o'clock top dash of the manual pipper instead of the dot, to have the bullet impacts anywhere near the target... Very frustrating... Curious if anyone else has this problem... Edited Saturday at 01:48 PM by Razor18

Razor18 Posted Saturday at 02:07 PM Author Posted Saturday at 02:07 PM Uhm... Which would be the correct type?
razo+r Posted Saturday at 02:14 PM Posted Saturday at 02:14 PM (edited) Well, you have two options in the SMS page to your disposal. Which one being the correct one depends on which belt you have loaded via the rearming screen. Below is a screen which belt consists of which bullets. With that, you know which of the two options you have to select. Edited Saturday at 02:17 PM by razo+r
Razor18 Posted Saturday at 02:16 PM Author Posted Saturday at 02:16 PM Being a campaign, I didn't even go into the arming menu. Should I check it there?
razo+r Posted Saturday at 02:23 PM Posted Saturday at 02:23 PM If nothing tells you what you have loaded, neither briefing nor kneeboard, it does make sense to open it and check what you have loaded.

Try to also make sure to have my radar altimeter on (ALT switch down to RDR), set your minimum altitude (e.g. to 500ft) and then select the HUD with Sensor Control Switch 'up' - the switch on your stick that you also use for selecting left, right and bottom DDIs. From what I understand, this enables your gun sight to accurately calculate distance to target and elevation, and all you need to do is point straight at the target and fire. Do however make sure to come in on a ~30 degree angle - too low makes it difficult to hit the target, too high makes it difficult to pull up in time. Let me know how you go.
Razor18 Posted 20 hours ago Author Posted 20 hours ago (edited) Thanks, will do and come back to tell... EDIT: tried, and now it worked. When it didn't, I probably forgot to turn on RDR altimeter and or did not choose the right type of gun ammo. Thanks ! Edited 15 hours ago by Razor18 1
