Mike Force Team Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Can we have a map of the island of Diego Garcia? Mike Force Team
upyr1 Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Diego Garcia is kind of out there. We really need better naval assets. NGL any map like the Marianas which are mostly ocean really serve to remind me of how bad DCS Naval modeling is. As I keep saying we need the following Better damage model- I think the Nevada-class battleships are a good example of why the strictly HP-based model doesn't work. OKLAHOMA capsized at Pearl Harbor, while NEVADA not only got underway on December 7th, she stayed afloat after getting nuked. more ships for all nations and eras- A pair of IOWAS vs the BISMARKs *hell yes* ALASKA vs DUECTLAND inthe battle of th pocket battleships (hell yes) Better amphibious landing modeling- We have needed this since the Normandy maps Better artillery modeling - mainly, we need Forward observers and spotter aircraft so that land and sea-based artillery gets called in for fire missions instead of being limited to pre-planned barrages. 1
Mike Force Team Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Diego Garcia would be a possibility for using it as a really long mission for missions to and from the Middle East. The location would be ideal for those who want to spend hours in real-world time flying. They gain the experience and can also use it to make a YouTube video.
Kang Posted June 28 Posted June 28 I'm beginning to think that starting a thread of a map wish for literally every place that gets named in the news in conjunction with air power might not exactly be a great strategy to get anything done. 2
Mike Force Team Posted June 29 Author Posted June 29 @Kang When ED announces their world map, then the maps requests will likely be fulfilled. Mike Force Team
Raisuli Posted June 29 Posted June 29 I've been there. It's not that exciting. The diving was amazing, though... Find the smallest Marshal Island with an airstrip and pretend the rest of them aren't there. That's a Diego Garcia simulator. 1
