The Merlin25 is heavily optimized for low altitudes and FB MK.VI rarely operated above 10 kft, so their absolute top speed of 380 mph at 23 kft was not slow - it was irrelevant. 400+ mph variants achieved those speeds at high altitudes at which they were meant to operate, but at sea level were slower than the MK.VI. Yeah ppl expecting that mosquito should be very fast but we are in situation where on axis side we have absolute beasts of the planes like D-9 or K-4 and no other allied plane will outrun those 2 unless ED will introduce P-51H or some other super-prop. Well, it would make some players green and yellow with envy, that's for sure. But another version of the best and most beautiful plane of WW2 could never be a waste of effort!
