New Smoke Mod release

Hello!

I made a new smoke mod because the “Better smoke mod” from Taz1004 isn’t working anymore. It’s far more simpler then Taz1004’s mod, no textures, wakes, craters and so on. The smoke reaches now higher in the air and is wider. I also couldn’t find a way to make the smoke stay longer than 7 minutes, think ED has hardcoded this. Therefor I use the Splashdamage 3.2 script from Stevey666 with adjusted values in addition to my mod. I included the script in the mod file. With this script it is possible to extend the time smoke stays. In combination of these two, it looks much better in my opinion. Also the script adds additional effects like ammo cook-offs from destroyed vehicles.

In summary this mod makes the smoke:

- reach higher in the air

- wider

In addition with Stevey666’s Splashdamage script:

- extends smoke life to 30 minutes

- adds ammo cook-offs for destroyed vehicles

The script has to be integrated into missions via a new trigger at mission start, do script file!

Installation:

Place content of "SmokeMod_2025_1.0" folder inside "DCS World" main Folder and override, please backup befor overriding!

Or just use the Folder with OvGME. (recommend)

Load the script into your missions via a new trigger at mission start, do script file. (optional but recommend!)

Ps: I know this isn't realistic, but i wanted to see a little bit more action when i bomb something!

UPDATE: I completely forgot that i made a modification to my atmoshere.hsl file to reduce the haze. Without this modification my mod made the smoke brighter, so i had to correct it. Sorry for that, please download the new version!
