  1. I am also using a Quest Pro, and both the headset and desktop software are fully updated. So far it's still working.
  2. If you can't get in the cockpit of a mod, then yes that usually means you don't have something that the mod needs in order to fly.
  3. I downloaded these missions a long time ago, and they are still one of my go to missions that I'll play over and over again for a relaxing flight. I like flying it in the rain, it gives it a very "grey 80s cold war Europe" feeling. When I was in Germany in the 80s, I would see flights of Tornados at low level all the time, so this is a really cool feeling for me. Thanks for this great mission!
  4. This was an awesome campaign! Still works! I really enjoyed it!
  5. Any chance of changing the thread title? I keep thinking there's a new version, only to find it's still the same one from almost 2 years ago.... Maybe just put the release date on the title instead?
  6. Great to hear! Even with the latest update it still looks terrible at night, so I'm looking forward to trying this out!
  7. Hey thanks for the detailed reply. I'm sorry to hear this, bit given the work involved, it's totally understandable. Just curious, I've heard that the upcoming DCS web editor will allow you to port whole missions over to another map (see around the 0:40 mark of this video: Would something like this make things easier? I guess there's still the issue of Amiens prison missing, and I'm not sure the web editor copies triggers, etc. Anyways, just thought I'd ask. Thanks again!
  8. My question is, well, the title . I got all excited when I saw there was a campaign for the Mosquito, but I don't have the Channel map, and given that it's mostly encompassed in the Normandy 2 map now (which also has better performance compared to the last time I trialed the Channel map), I probably won't buy the Channel map at this point. Is there any plan or chance for releasing this campaign for the Normandy 2 map? Thanks! (PS I currently have The Big Show and Jagdflieger in my cart, looking forward to flying those!)
  9. Well this looks pretty neat! I just stumbled across this for the first time, but I'm very interested. Maybe I can get my VTOL VR F45 fix in DCS soon!
  10. This looks great! Have you considered using the avionics from the Su33 instead? That would allow air to ground missions as well. Of course I know nothing about modding, maybe that's a lot more work. Anyways keep up the great work, I can't wait to try this!
  11. This looks great! I can't wait to get home from family Christmas to try this!
  12. Hi there, I've recently rediscovered the A4, and I'm enjoying learning it all again, using the latest v2.2 update. One thing I'm having trouble with though is wheel brakes. I see that the mod has differential steering now, which is nice, but I think there is a bug with the coefficient of friction between the wheels and runway when the brakes are locked. My main problem comes when I try to land the plane. I apply the brakes, and the wheels actually lock up (the animation shows them not turning when the brakes are fully applied, and turning properly when brakes are not applied). The thing is, having the wheels lock up does not slow down the plane at all. I consistently run off the end of the runway even though the tires are screeching all the way. I tried pumping the brakes like they taught us in driver's ed 30 years ago, and it seemed to help slightly, but I can't help thinking there's something wrong here, either with the plane or the pilot! Any hints? Thanks
  13. I'm still using this mod on 2.9 MP servers, no problem
  14. Interesting. I have a Pro and a quest 3, and I've noticed its now stuttering only on the Pro. I can play the exact same flight in both headsets, and the Pro stutters while the 3 does not. Strangely the frametimes and framerate are rock solid at 72 fps, but the screen is stuttering/tearing. I'm on the road this week, but I'll look into this as soon as I get home! Thanks! Interesting, I will look into this as well!
  15. I also noticed a lot of sound cuts since the update to v59. I assumed it was something with my connection, but I guess not...
  16. My controllers are fully charged. Just took them out of [off of?] the cradle, which is plugged into the power supply. Sorry, no profit... I have also noticed that the dark screen performance can be improved a lot by adjusting the position of the headset, and the best position is just as you describe it. But that mainly helps with the edge effects, rather than the glare around points of light. Anyways, I've decided to live with it. The mura in the Quest 3 on the other hand is intolerable so it's getting returned.
  17. These have been my two main beefs as well. With everyone raving about the local dimming, I was very shocked by how bad this halo effect was. I have a bunch of night missions that I used to play with my Quest 2, and in that the black levels aren't great, but you can easily see the stars and there's no glare around my instruments, etc. With the Quest Pro, it's a foggy mess. Like it literally looks like one of those London fog nights from Sherlock Holmes. It's the one thing that's making me think about returning it. I bought two, and they both had the same identical problems with the black levels. Everything else besides that is superior to the Quest 3, which I also bought (except maybe the passthrough, but I never use it). The lenses, clarity, colours, build quality, brightness, FOV, etc are all better on the Pro. Just not the black levels. Oh and my left controller is constantly randomly floating away into space. Anything I can do about that? I already tried cranking up the lighting, didn't help much...
  18. I think your settings are just too high. I don't think there's any computer that can run the settings you have smoothly in VR. I suggest setting the Oculus slider to 72Hz, 1.0x resolution (default), and see how it looks, then if its smooth, work your way up. Bitrate doesn't really have that much of an effect on your FPS unless it's way too high. I recently bumped mine from 400 to 700 with no difference in smoothness (via cable, I find VD gives lots of stuttering compared to link, all else being the same). Also, MSAA is not your best bet these days for anti aliasing, given the new options available. In general, your DCS settings will affect performance way more than bitrate. I really don't think this is a problem with your headset. You just need to start low with all your settings and work your way up. This is the way of VR .
  19. Hmm, this is the first time I've heard this. @mbucchia, are you able to confirm?
  20. Why not? Get a few cheap cables on Amazon, and keep the ones that work best. By far the cheapest and easiest option!
