Mission 3 - Question/Spoiler?-

I have completed the main bulk of the mission and have done the refuelling,

having gone visual over the CSAR sight, i make the transmission to do a SOF all good , at some point after this my radio's go dead at this point they no longer respond to the programmed keybinds, the throttle and other buttons work, and the buttons work as expected in the controls page.   my question is have i screwed up somewhere or is the comms failure "programmed" in? if so when i saw the two helo's on my HAD it was a surprise, and they both got splashed ... but i heard nothing of the approach of the UH-60 or any warning they were coming from AWACS?

No, none of this is programmed. Remove all mods and run a full repair. 
 

I can’t delete your assignments from the mission editor or make them not work.

i re ran the mission , worked flawlessly so i obviously did something "clever" last time thanks as always (p.s. thanks for the shutdown process)
