I've tried this a couple of times and it works ok for me. For a very quick mission generator it does tho job. A welcome addition. It does need some improvements but is a reasonable start. It feels like a beta version that just has a way to go yet. I like that it has been introduced at this stage. It provides opportunity for constructive feedback about how we want the final version to look.

The create fast mission generator was useless for me. With anything WW2 related it basically creates the same missions without being able to control specific planes etc. The new generator has more options. Yes it is not perfect but it has potential.

@NineLine Would it be possible to have an option for the aircraft to start cold and dark at an airfield of your choice? Thanks!

Actual 1 is 0... I know right. I asked for this to be adjusted or reworded a while back now. But if you edit your flight and it says 1 that just means you.

Yeah and if you have WWII feedback for me I would love to hear it, this was a pain for me as well with the old one, I mean even SEAD missions didn't end up being SEAD, so I think while it needs love, its a good start in the right direction.

When you edit your flight, on certain mission types you can set to start from ground, I think Ground Attack you can, but things like dogfight you cannot yet.

I just loaded up a 4x4 dogfight over Normandy and was straight in. Took about 3 minutes. A lot faster than using the old fast mission generator. It also allows for better control of opponent aircraft etc.

i tried to use it...after the long first loading time (2-3 minuts) i changed map, regenerate, and other 3 minuts to load it, after that i want save and fly...it crashed!!!

i will try it in the future but not now...someone has the same issue?

I tried it with CW Germany map and had CTDs too.

DCS: A-10A Flaming Cliffs, A-10C II Tank Killer, AH-64D, Bf-109 K-4, Black Shark 3, F-4E Phantom II, F/A-18C, F-16C Viper, Fw 190 A-B, Mi-24P Hind, Mosquito FB VI, P-47D, P-51D - all maps - Combined Arms, WWII Assets

Because ED abandoned maintaining it long time ago and left it lingering in a dysfunctional state. In its core, it was a very powerful and flexible tool,  allowing creating  missions of variable complexity by a few clicks using dropdown menus. It was great when it was working. 

Thankfully,  we have extremely talented individuals in the community who have developed great tools and mission generators for FREE, like Through the Inferno (a great sandbox), Retribution (which can produce an entire area of operations a la Falcon 4.0), Briefing Room (basically, what the QAG should be) and many others, which are making up for the single major weakness of DCS.

I've yet to see a sub-five minute load of the new QAG...and, as said above, I could generate a 200+ unit (randomized) mission that could be saved and manipulated further in the ME, in less than 2 minutes. With the old "CFM" generator, I used to take a minute to generate a 250 unit scenario...then go into the ME and create your 4v4 dogfight in a more chaotic/busy/unpredictable environment, and click "FLY", all in about 3-4 minutes. I'm not alone in my criticism of the new tool. I know it will improve over time, I'd just like to have the old CFM generator back. 👍

Thanks for your feedback back, but if you have nothing new to add then we can probably close this thread as it seems to be on repeat now.
