Handler issues with parking due to static planes on the deck of the Supper Carrier

I have noticed that since the addition of deck handlers, you have to be real careful where you place static aircraft on the deck. The new handlers are oblivious to them and will try and get fouled up when trying to park you where a static plane or helicopter is parked. Clearly they don't recognize that there is a static object there and park you on an open parking space even though there are plenty of other parking spaces available.

Hi Honez,

yes you have to be very careful to keep routes clear from statics when using the directors, the deck is very complex and difficult to manage so making it as easy for the AI as possible is the best option.

But feel free to add a track replay example so we can take a closer look

thank you

The only sure way to have statics and avoid handler/director issues is to use uncontrolled AI spawning on the slots. The drawbacks to this are that you have little to no control over where they spawn, you get jets spawned where there should be helo parking, you can't add cranes or tugs, and the spawn slot sizing issues online causes "delayed to start" issues with Tomcat clients. Who then, once spawned in, have their fuel weight doubled from an unsquashable bug that's been around for the better part of 5 years now, severely degrading their flight performance.
