Is it possible to maybe make the spotting dots scale with resolution?

It seems it really only helps with 1080, A little bit with 1440 & No noticable difference with 4k.

I would like to play the game in 4k as it looks a lot better. But seeing things is just incredibly difficult for me personally.

I shouldn't have to play the game in a lower resolution to utilize this feature to its potential. Would just be a really nice feature to have some use in higher resolutions.

I believe it already scales like that. “Small” is 1 pixel and “Large” is 2x2 pixels. So in Auto mode 4K dots are 4x the size of 1080p ones. Of course the system can just be exploited by manually selecting large dots at 1080p 🤷‍♂️ Most all the severs I see allow this manual setting. So when you play online just realize you’re visible to the other players as a giant square.

While leaving the dots on 2, 4k just has no noticeable difference. Where as 1080 & 1440 are just incredibly obvious. I tried to revisit it today and really didn't notice that much of a difference while on 1080 or 1440. But like I said 4k just does not reflect the feature at all.

4K definitely shows dots, I’m using that and can certainly see them. But again the setting can just be exploited at lower resolutions and a 3 size option would just make it even more so. Off is the most realistic setting for these anyways.

I have no concern of it is an exploit or not, If 2 dots in 1440 & 1080 are what the expectation of the feature is, It needs to reflect the same in 4k is all I am saying.

In comparison it does not scale the same as it does in the lower resolutions. Not that it isn't there in 4k, But it if intended to be the standard, Does not reflect equally.

4k & shadows < Anything lower.

The “expectation” of the feature is in how the Auto mode functions. I believe it draws 1 pixel for 1080x1920 and 2x2 pixels for 2160x3840 (these sizes would be equal). The manual adjustments are what they are, they’ll always be exploitable or egregious if applied to a lower resolution. Honestly 4 pixels in 4K is still quite large. 4 pixels in 1080p is gigantic. If you’re starting to realize what a bad system this is… you’re right.
If you want bigger dots in SP there’s always the dot labels. I believe those are configurable any way you like them.

Sorry for the incredibly late reply to this, I kind of forgot about it.

I have realized what an awul system this is some time back when I was going through resolutions trying to find what worked best while not sacrificing too much resolution. Turns out, The lower it is the more dominate the dots are.

It's really a shame how this is being scaled. Dots being obvious or not, they just don't have much of a differnce when playing at the higher resolutions. (When you're comparing them to others ofc).

While I know it is a WIP, If this is what is to be expected, in any sort of PVP scenario it is just completely stupid to play on the resolutions. It's almost like being punished for being able to play at a higher resolution lol.
