Kagnet, does not get engaged by a SAM , he sort does a couple of passes and then disengages... after engaging the column and carefully taking out the AAA i then after completing the 2nd pass go home via the tanker , when i get trheir comms are good but when i have enough fuel i disconnect and go back home , no additonal tanker comms , switching back to channel 10 etc ... 

when i land on bravo all is well until i get to  the disarming point on Kilo , where the dud that stands in the middle of the road is deceased ... and so never gets out of the way, i can taxi round the dead body , so no major biggie

That never happened to anyone else, are you sure you don't have any mods? Try running a slow repair. There are several safety triggers to make sure he's dead.

dead sure, the only thing i can think of is that my wheel did take me closer to the column this time , would that cause the sam not to fire ?

No, the SAM should completely ignore you. There are 3 manpads, I've never seen them not launch. Unless ED broke the manpads.

it worked the first time through ... but i missed one of the ZSU's and it pinned me on the 2'nd pass the first time through the mission, i must just have stumbled on to an edge case i guess
