I've done 5 carrier take offs. I use take off trim. Full flaps. I hold the brakes. Push the throttle to max, smoothy but quite quickly. I let go of th2 brakes when it starts to tip the nose. But I'm basically at full power from the moment the aircraft rolls. The aircraft does a tiny week turn to the left that only needs a tiny right pedal to fix. And then it's basically auto pilot. The corsair flies straight and off the deck.

Had I done this is in the Spitfire, the aircraft would violently turn to the left. And i would have to push right pedal equally violently to compensate.

Taking off in the corsair feels like taking off in the other warbirds with 100% take off assistanse.

Perhaps the option is enabled! A bug?

It might be, since there is no ability to turn off the take off assistance.

However if you use take-off assistance in the other warbirds. You'll see the petals move by themselves. In thr corsair that doesn't happen.

I do not experience any takeoff assitance when doing a standard shore takeoff at 43-45" and 30deg flaps, with proper rudder/aileron trim set. The rudder dance on the takeoff roll is not much different than the P-47's.

Really don't feel much to the engine torque.

Here I am trying to land. I get the wheels down. Up the stick to get the hook to catch. But instead I go up flying again. So I'm almost hovering over the deck at 60-80knots. I slam the throttle and RPM forward. In real life this should cause me to roll over en die. But in this corsair. Some minor stick and rudder work keeps me level.
