Is the Essex 3 letter code ANA in the sim? Can this be changed in mission editor?

Also when placing a second Essex on map on different frequency I still got the same 3 letter code and directional guidance to the first Essex even tough I was on the second Essex frequency.

I keep getting in consistency with the radio navigation. It let's me remote tune doing it the opposite way (CW on 38 and Voice on 26) for navigation and then it wants to operate normal on some occasions.

Yes, you can change the ID of the Essex.  In the ME, change the unit name (not the group name) to something like "CV", or "ESS", or whatever you want, then you will hear the morse for those letters followed by your sector.

Tuning by manual frequency seems to only give you the agana airfield.

If you go by channel, you can configure the carrier's frequency in the ME and set the ARR preset to the same thing and it will work.

Set the unit name of the carrier (default is Naval-1-1) to something like ESX-1-1 and it will transmit the first three letters as your ident trigram.

This definitely used to be the case and it worked correctly, although the CW/Voice Switch was reversed on the C-38. After the last update (July) I can no longer tune to the Carrier frequency. The aircraft only picks Argana Airfield "AGA" regardless of the frequency I have entered in the ME for the carrier and aircraft, or the preset frequency setting on the C-38 Tuning Crank.  Additionally, the CW/Voice Switch on the C-38 seems to not care if it is in CW or Voice position.

EDIT - Ater receiving some sage advice from Discord, I realise that the previous reversal of the CW/Voice Switch on the C-38 has now been fixed.  This initially caused my mistake operating the system.  It appears that the navigation system works correctly.

Sorry had not been paying attention to the response here. Yes got my answer a while back as mention with Ed discord. I haven't tried it again in past week but now It doesn't quite work when I actually run it on a server only in mission editor/single player.

My experience is it works in single player and when someone hosts on their pc, it does not appear to work on dedicated servers.
