swartbyron Posted Saturday at 11:13 AM Posted Saturday at 11:13 AM (edited) Unlike the old AN-AAQ-28, with the new AN-AAQ-33 the maverick is not staying boresited with the TGP when making the Weapon page SOI. In other words it seems there is no ground stabilisation unless the TGP page is SOI? Seems to make PRE mode kind of pointless? If you watch the AN-AAQ-33 track file you can see the maverick wander off every time I make the weapon page SOI then snap back when making the TGP SOI and in the AN-AAQ-28 track file, it holds where the TGP is looking no matter what. Ivandrov Posted Saturday at 03:20 PM Posted Saturday at 03:20 PM Worked fine for me when I tried it. If any of the seekers wandered off TMS Aft stabilizes it back to the SPI.

This step wasn't needed with the previous TGP and now seems to be an extra step that needs to be taken before shooting a maverick unless flying straight and level. Comparing the behaviour of the Maverick when the weapon page is SOI in both tracks shows the difference between both TGP's clearly. I guess what I'm really asking is if this is set up this way as intended or a bug with the new TGP? Edited Saturday at 04:04 PM by swartbyron
