Tango Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Hi, Looking for Multi-Player! SimHQ seem to have discontinued their server, and whilst there were plenty of pilots, I couldn't seem to get a general server up and running - people just disappeared. I'm in the UK, and prefer to fly after 2100 hrs. Best regards, Tango.

Mustang Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 (edited) I've seen typically 4-5 servers online (sometimes 1 or 2) post 1.0.1, i guess all those pirate version players/servers are being hit hard by the patch :D Edited August 13, 2009 by Mustang
Kurtz Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 i guess all those pirate version players/servers are being hit hard by the patch :D When DCS was released many of us purchased the Russian version, then followed up by purchasing the English version. The Russian build is what a lot of people used on their server box, and its the Russian version that has been belted so hard world wide by the "region" copyright introduced by the patch. Once the patch was applied to the Russian build many people including myself who does not live in Russia, had their Russian build de-activated, hence less servers. ps- I guess a few PR8's got hit as well, maybe.
Tango Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 Hi, I was one of those with a Russian copy that had problems, but setting the main "Regional Setting" in Windows to Russian fixed it. Best regards, Tango.
