H60MTI Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Very dumb question...Do, say, Syrian SAM's know where the border is with Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq? Or are they just going to fire regardless of airspace? Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"
H60MTI Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago Thought so...I'm assuming best bet for that would probably be to set a bunch of triggers along borders? That would suck... Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"
Kang Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Either that or you position them accordingly, make good use of the setting that makes them fire only at a percentage of their max range, too.
H60MTI Posted 8 hours ago Author Posted 8 hours ago I'll look into that...I'm trying to get them as accurate as possible using maps and what not. In real life, we all know that radars close to the border with Jordan can see well into Jordian airspace. They obviously don't fire into Jordan for risk of war. I didn't think DCS puts the knowledge in there to not shoot cross border. They just want things to go boom Lol Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"
Mr_sukebe Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Within DCS, easy to resolve by enabling "Weapon Hold" by default, then having a Trigger to set Weapons Free if an enemy aircraft crosses into their airspace, as defined by a Trigger zone. 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
H60MTI Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago They don't have a "line" trigger zone do they? It's either circle or "square?" as in, I can't just draw a line on the border... Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"
