Madman1 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I damaged one wheel on landing but I was able to make it to the parking area intact. I shut down, made sure the engines were completely stopped and then used the F8 menu to ask for repair. Got an affirmative reply from the Chief. Waited, countdown started, repair sequence ran. Chief comes back with "repairs complete." I restart the aircraft and get moving. Now the A-10 pulls heavily to the right, much more than it normally does. I know that the A-10 normally drifts when rolling on the ground becasue of the offset front gear but this is much worse than that. SO anyways, after "repair" I need to hold the rudder to about ten degrees continuously just to keep it on the taxiway or I will end up in the grass. Is this working-as-intended or is this a bug?
razo+r Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Obviously after a repair the aircraft should be brand new, so if it doesn't behave like it should it doesn't sound correct. But now it would be good to know what actually went wrong, so we can figure out if it was actually a bug or something else that went wrong. So, can you replicate it? Do you have a short track? 1
Madman1 Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago What's a "short track?" I can see tracks in my Saved Games\DCS\Tracks\Multiplayer folder but they're all the entire match, not just the incident. How do I trim them down?
Madman1 Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Oh god dammit, the track is larger than 50MB so this forum won't let me upload it. Really, a 50MB limit? Did 2008 barricade itself inside ED headquarters and hold the file server hostage?

Quit as soon as the issue is evident, then hit "Save Track" on the debriefing screen. 58 minutes ago, Madman1 said: I can see tracks in my Saved Games\DCS\Tracks\Multiplayer folder but they're all the entire match, not just the incident. How do I trim them down? You can't. They begin at the beginning of your mission and then replay every single input you made. 9 minutes ago, Madman1 said: Really, a 50MB limit? This is a flight sim forum, not a file sharing site. With thousands of users uploading screenshots, tracks, missions and so on, I'm guessing the servers already have to handle quite the load. Did the 2020s not tell you about actual filesharing sites from which you can then link the uploaded files? Anyway, no one wants to watch players fumble around for 2 hours in order to spot one very particular issue. If you can't recreate it in a track that's maybe 10 minutes long, don't bother. Plus, track replays sometimes play out differently than when they were recorded. The longer they run, the higher the probability of replays going amiss. It would be close to miraculous if your tracks of more than 50 MB would play out exactly like your mission, and we'll all just have wasted a lot of time. Also, please use the Caucasus map, because everyone has it. Make sure your mission doesn't require any mods.
Madman1 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago I uploaded it to a third-party server: https://limewire.com/d/VskAK#fw958xMxG8
Madman1 Posted 44 minutes ago Author Posted 44 minutes ago Ok I replicated the problem, only with two blow tires instead of one. But same result: A-10 pulls hard to the right. And I managed to keep it under 50MB this time so here ya go, fresh new track:4YA_CAU_PVE_V2.141[03_DEC_BKN]-20250903-162244.trk It's on the Caucasus map. Only "mod" is a RCAF livery but that shouldn't matter should it? 4YA_CAU_PVE_V2.141[03_DEC_BKN]-20250903-162244.trk
