Hi,

I am new to DCS and have started running an f16 which I find to be great but im very unskilled. I have installed opentrack with a delanclip head set but although its very good I cannot seem to reduce the HUD size and it bleeds over the screen. It seems related to the forward/back movement and I have to lean right in to get anything like a decent capture of a target. Has anyone experienced this? Any guidance would be appreciated Thanks

I don’t fly the F-16 but that HUD behavior might be realistic. The A-10 HUD image extends beyond the edges of the glass and you need to move your head to see it all.

Are you talking about the Heads Up Display (HUD) or the Multi-function Display (MFD?) At any rate it sounds like you need to adjust your Snapview Settings. Here are links to a couple of videos on how to do it:

Make sure the default view is in the correct position so that you see the full HUD without anything being outside of the view box. Once the default view is correct, you shouldn't have any issue.

Also make a habit to reset your Opentrack view from time to time as it may drift ever so slightly.

That’s actually a problem of the none stereoscopic camera. With two eyes you can look further into the edges than the camera can with its single viewpoint. In VR it’s much better.

I guess next to different implementations, it is just a matter of how much excess real estate a given HUD offers. In the A10 it is very little….
