How many Red Flags do happen annually?! I always thought there a single event but now you're saying 9-5 which makes me think is it 5th RF this year?

Well is not only Red Flag, There is also Green Flag and You have the one happening in Alaska.

Within a typical 12-month period

more than 1,200 aircraft fly 20,000 plus sorties while training more than 26,750 personnel

 

Green Flag east

The 548th Combat Training squadron hosts up to 10 multi-service field exercises each year, training more than 50,000 DoD and international personnel
