'KR' on HUD?

Locked up an F-15 at about 30km, 'KR' popped up on the HUD.

At around 20km the 'KR' started flickering and by 15km it had disappeared. 

I'm guessing it has something to do with jamming but I thought that's what AJ signified?

Just had the same thing happen earlier today although mine was Cyrillic "КД". Don't know what it signifies either.

In my case, before, during, and a bit after. I was wondering if it stood for KMOD. KD in Cyrillic but the English KR doesn’t make sense, if that’s the case.

I didn't find KR in Yugoslavian manual. But I found "KD" and AI translated it. See picture.

I also found KMOD explained as "KM" index. I think.

But, again I am not sure about this KR. Never had this in my playthrough. Could be just a translation to "КД". Or maybe something else.

You have a KР indication on the fuel pannel, for "Концевой Расход". It's a kind of Bingo indicator.

It's not supposed to be indicated on the HUD for 9-12 version, but maybe that's a  beginning of explanation?

It is KMOD ranging and can be turned on by target acquisition depress. 
 

turn with 30-60 degree bank until radar diamond or IRST circle reaches the wing tip of the artificial plane silhouette on your HUD, then reverse turn so it touches other wingtip. After 8 seconds you will have a one time range with estimated closure based on radar mode or TWS switch position
