I get no handover to carrier crew on salute in F14

I've practiced my cold start on the carrier, made my own mission to do so, and after cold start, I salute, and get handed over to the crew, 

 

Now I've made proper mission, do the same cold start, chocks are removed, air and power is remvoved, I hit salute, but nothing happens, no handover to the carrier crew, if I start to move I get no raction, from the guys on deck, even if I drive over to one of the cats, nothing happens

You first salute and then do the startup. If there are multiple AI aircraft check if they are ready first and are tasked to taxiing before you or maybe there's some lock up. Make sure you salute with the bind, not comms menu. If it's night mission use ext. lights bind as launch salute.

When cold starting, you salute twice. First you report ready for engine startup, get a thumbs up, then you report ready to taxi once that's done. Also, you need to make sure the brownshirt is there to get taxi permission. Sometimes, he'll be over at some other aircraft and you need to wait for him to walk over. He'll only react to the salute once he's at your plane.

I have different experience. You salute and then wait for the brownshirt to come to you, he'll raise the hand and then you can do your startup.

Yeah, I wrote the wrong word. You need to wait for him to be there to get taxi permission. You can do startup before he gets there if you're too impatient too wait, but he won't clear you to taxi unless he's at the plane.
