taubkin Posted Thursday at 03:59 PM Posted Thursday at 03:59 PM Hey @SpecteRED I believe I'm having the sime type of issue. I have a 9088x3D on a MSI Tomahawk x870e motherboard. (I'm still running my old trusted 3080ti, and only play in 1440p trackIR). Ironically, in June's update it went away and performance was solid, but that only lasted to aug or july, I'm not sure. I can lower the settings, I can do everything, but I still get those slowdowns and frame time spikes. Using Task manager I am now very confident every time I got a spike, I have a small read spike in my DCS installation SSD. And empirically, it seems to get much worse on heavier terrains, such as afghanistan (although, now, with the uprezzed textures, Caucasus is also giving me a lot more problems). So I am suspecting something is wrong on the terrain loading/cache. I believe ED was working on a new terrain engine, so it begs the question... Still, this is a pain and has been keeping me from enjoying DCS for some time now. Can you check to see if the spikes come with an SSD read surge as well?

This is how I noticed that my built-in network card was having significant problems (I tried both new and old drivers). I have now installed an external network card, but now I see severe delays in the Audio Driver that the internal sound card uses. SpecteRED Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago I found a problem that looks like a conflict of my internal audio device in the motherboard. would you be able to tell which motherboards you are using and not encounter such lags (lag during player disconnection from the server) F-18, F-16, A-10C, F-14, F-4, M-2000, AV-8B, JF-17, KA-50, Mi-24, Mi-8, UH-1H, AH-64D

I have all the audio ports busy (and even on my external Focurite sound card). It looks like the audio driver gets additional DPC pressure during network events. On the X870, Gigabyte has broken IRQ routing for Realtek and LAN. F-18, F-16, A-10C, F-14, F-4, M-2000, AV-8B, JF-17, KA-50, Mi-24, Mi-8, UH-1H, AH-64D
