Speed_2 Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 Sorry, but it is clearly battle damage. Every time I cannot take off, it's after I took an arty hit. You can see a little piece missing out of the tail. Both engines will be reading what appears to be normal RPM and normal temperature, but they will develop insufficient lift to take off without putting the throttle on emergency and/or reducing the fuel load. Every time I do NOT take a hit, I have no problem getting off the ground. The only reason I have yet to provide a track is that truthfully, it is NOT SAVING my last track in that LastMissionTrack.trk file. The date on the file will be correct, but the track itself will be a completely different mission. arrogant, realism-obsessed Falcon 4 junkie
joey45 Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 you should be able to save it on the debreif screen. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Speed_2 Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 you should be able to save it on the debreif screen. Not if it's multiplayer. BTW, is there anyway to enable a debrief screen in multiplayer?! No debrief for multiplayer really, really sucks. IMO, debrief is even more important in multiplayer than single player. Anyway, I'm just going to have to mod for single player it and replicate the problem in single player. arrogant, realism-obsessed Falcon 4 junkie
joey45 Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 or clean out the old trk files then run the mission so you only have the one trk file The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Speed_2 Posted August 29, 2009 Author Posted August 29, 2009 (edited) Ok finally. Here's two tracks. In both tracks, I take artillery damage. However, on only one track does it damage my engines/rotors/whatever it is. In that track, notice that I have to go to emergency to get airborne, but after that, I am perfectly fine, and in fact, can put the throttle back down to normal. Most of the time, when I get this engine damage, I get no warnings at all. This time, however, I got a CMD FAILURE warning- nothing relating to the engines. In fact, in the "Engine damage" track, that's rather light damage, half the time I get engine damage before takeoff I have to both increase throttles to emergency AND ask maintenance to decrease fuel load to 25%, and, of course, get no EKRAN warnings about any of it.Engine Damage.trkNo Engine Damage.trk Edited August 29, 2009 by Speed_2 arrogant, realism-obsessed Falcon 4 junkie
Slayer Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Maybe you take damage before you get the chopper powered up and started and the game isn't showing it on the ekran because it wasn't powered up yet? nemises Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 (sorry havent read rest of thread) ... If it is the Confrontation 8 X 8 map, then , since the patch, you seem to take damage while rolling, presuambly due to an increase in teh damage radius of the arty strikes? ... Unsubstantiated, however, myself and 3 wingmen all took damage whilst rolling to the runway on that map prior to takeoff.
