During the Lebanese Civil War in 1982/83, the SA-6 proved quite dangerous to the Tomcats flying CAP and TARPS missions there. Those were the reasons why they added "Fuzz Busters" in the cockpit. But maybe those threats were added to the RWR library later?

The Fuzz Busters were really for the Improved Hawk systems that the Iranians were sold before the revolution, but the common misconception was that it was for SA-6.

I notice there's a volume knob for the ALR-50 on the early A.  Is this not functional?  I thought I heard a different (higher pitched) tone for the launch of an AIM-54 from an enemy F-14.  It only happened the once, but I thought the ALR-45 didn't give a different tone for a missile launch, so is the ALR-50 also installed?  I'm confused 🤪

Both are installed together yeah. The ALR-50 is a missile warning system for the SA-2, SA-3, SA-4, and SA-6.

I hope this is the right place for this.

During Carrier practice on the Forrestal the early -A reported "Hornet Ball" instead of "Tomcat". I also tried the late -A and the -B, they both correctly report "Tomcat Ball".

Anyone knows of a way to reliably prevent Jester from overriding the repeater display? Despite having mapped a toggle key, I can't (always) control what's being displayed. During AI locks especially, I often need to cycle between RWR and TID, but Jester insists on pushing the RWR, and seemingly randomly flickering between the two.

I don't believe that's Jester doing that. There are switches in the back that control when the RWR overrides the display. It's default setting is for the RWR screen to come up when a radar is detected, it simulates the non-continious painting of an enemy radar as it scans you and around you, so it pulses the screen on and off.

This isn't Jester doing but rather the ECM Override (ECM ORIDE) switch on the PDCP.
