TOMCATZ Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) Hello Team, Since the latest update of META, my Oculus Rift is not working in DCS anymore. DLSS or DLAA creates a stutterfest. Even setting everything to low and disengaging of all filters and sharpening processes, lowering the frame rate to 60 and so on - DCS is not playable in VR anymore. I´m pretty sure that the latest META-update created a lot of troubles (that was the only thing that changed the last weeks) . The latency is very high and the picture in game is freezing after some minutes - comes with whites flashes shortly before. WIN-10 , 64GB RAM, NVidea3080 10GB RAM - Latest Nvidea driver, Latest Oculus driver (META), latest version of DCS. I checked the graphic card - the temperature is never higher then 60°. I running out of any ideas because I lowered everything to the lowest possible setting. Hardware is okay and running well. Help would be more then welcome, Thanks, Cheers, TOM Edited November 7 by TOMCATZ Born to fly but forced to work.
ChariotOfFLAME Posted November 7 Posted November 7 Pure speculation, but Meta may have made updates that aren’t compatible with Win10 due to it being past EOL now

However I do see much more pauses in DCS as with everyone else since the last update. hope you get it fixed. Cheers Wood Windows 10, Intel i7-6700 CPU @3.40GHz, 32GB ram , GTX 4060Ti
Lange_666 Posted November 16 Posted November 16 (edited) Still on version Meta 66.0.0.308.370 (on Win 11 Pro 25H2) here but since that latest DCS updates I notice also more irregular hick-ups using my Rift-S while playing, especially more in multiplayer. 3080Ti with driver 576.28. No DLSS or DLAA here, I prefer the shimmering over the ghosting. TOMCATZ Posted November 17 Author Posted November 17 Hello, Well - I made a huge work around the last weeks. So what I can clearly say is: That DLAA and DLSS is not working anymore. So what I did (and works more or less) is following: I set the pixel density up to 2.0 and engaged NIS (Nvidia Image Scaling) in the DCS menue. I modified the option.lua in the config folder by hand because the DCS menue will not provide following setting: Nvidia Image Scaling ON Pixel density: 2.0 Quality: 1.5 Sharpening: 4 Frame Rate: 60 FPS locked The rest in the menue: Textures: medium Visibility: medium Shadows: medium Works pretty and acceptable. Sometimes I have a stutter but I think it`s because of loading textures. Only thing that is not well are close other fighters in dogfight ... the image scling prozess blures the enemy aways and you see mostly a slight shadow, if you are lucky. Close formation flight with others is okay. About DLSS: Works fine as long as there are no clouds or fog. But if there is a cloud on the horizon , ghosting and stutterfest - It seems to be that something is really messed up with DLSS in combination with META and RIFT S. Cheers TOM Born to fly but forced to work.
