On my DCS the buttons show up, so it isnt a DCS bug:

Check the ScaleGUI parameter, perhaps you have it set too large for your screen?

If the ScaleGUI is around 1 to 1.25, then disable any UserMod that you have active, just to confirm that it isn't creating this issue.

Hi Rudel. That's how i set it up, and all mods are disabled. Also did a slow repair.

I think AFAIK it has been like this always for the last 2 years. I have a different GPU now, but that should have no influence.

Maybe it's due Windows 11 LTSC missing something thats in Win 11 Pro or Home ...

that's unlikely, have you tried to rename your /Saved Games/DCS/ folder to DCS.bak and then let DCS generate a default preferences folder, to see if it's something within /Saved Games/ that is not right?

I have my Saved Games folder location set via Windows on the same Drive F as my DCS World openbeta folder. just created a new Saved Games there, empty.

I have a 4K monitor, My full page, no buttons at the bottom:

Added ..  Tried different GUI scalings, no difference ..

? ... you don't create the folder, DCS must do it. Let me show the proper way to have DCS build a new settings folder:

1) You go into /Saved Games/ and identify which is the DCS settings folder:

JBWUQv3.jpg

on my case, its the DCS.296 folder ... it has a custom name from when I used to have two different DCS versions on my PC.

2) Next, you RENAME it to something else:

zBXpPjK.jpg

On this example, I've renamed it to DCS.296.bak (for backup)

3) Start DCS, it will ask you for your credentials and then start DCS with a default configuration, like this:

bgVIyKP.jpg

g5RkZhX.jpg

You will still have all your purchased Modules, but no User Mods and the DCS config will be a default, including the keybindings. Then you should test if the issue is still present for you, if the Option screen shows your buttons then the issue was caused by something within your previous configuration folder.

4) Exit DCS, to restore everything how it was before, just delete the new settings folder at /Saved Games/ and rename the backup folder to its prior name, start DCS again and it whould be back to your previous configuration, on my case:

With the new folder within Saved Games it works ! Reloading the old one set back the buttons are missing again.

So i might have to import files with my own needed folders like InputUserProfiles in to the new one. Thanks, again you saved my day.

I JUST DISCOVERED that the buttons appear when you disable foldered view !

I have also a problem is that DCS starts real slow since a few months. I think i will reinstall the whole caboose now.

Truly, DCS is one of the very few games that does not need a reinstall ever .. its repair utility leaves the program folder just as a just reinstalled DCS, but saves a lot of time and bandwidth by only replacing the files missing/damaged, leaving the rest untouched. It does not touch your preferences at /Saved Games/ so it can't really repair issues caused by files there, but a full DCS reinstall won't touch those either.

For the slow start, I would try deleting the /fxo and the /metashaders2 folders inside Saved games, this will let DCS rebuild them anew; and a second step would be to exclude the DCS folders from your Antivirus action (look for folder exclusions on your AV documentation)

Best regards

We've been through this before! NO need to reinstall DCS. Repair of DCS plus a new/empty Saved Games resets the game 100% back to vanilla.
Why would you have you have your Saved Games on the same drive? It could potentially work better on different drives. Depends of course. I know I've asked you before when you were messing around with Saved Games.

Well, in regards of Windows and the occasional need to reinstall my boot drive C. I use a lot off other stuff, video editing, DTP and graphics.

Occasionally Windows get screwed due some experimental beta plugin etc. PS been away from DCS for about 6 months LoL.

PS i just saw the bin-mt folder is still in my dcs folder, is that now not needed?

Understand. Personally I haven't seen the need to reinstall Windows since pretty much the initial Win10 release.
Unfortunately been away from DCS going on 11 months myself.

Correct, the MT folder is not needed anymore. Just leave it be and forget about it. It will remove itself in due time.
